We survived the flood!

Since our last post, the Copper Creek Tri was cancelled due to lighting and thunderstorms on June 8th.  However, it was a planned very well with wonderful volunteers and organizers.  We all look forward to 2009!  Great job!

Kudos also goes to the City workers and citizens that got us through the current flood in South Pleasant Hill.  It was nice to see everyone was safe.

Halloween Party is a huge success!

Over 600 children and adults attended the Library’s annual Halloween party on Friday, October 19th. The Park and Rec Department supplied hayrack rides and manned the marshmallow roast outside while inside children played games, ate candy and had fun!

Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make this event such a big success. And to all of the ghosts, goblins and superheroes, thanks for coming!

Beggars night in Pleasant Hill

Just went to the neighborhood Hy-Vee.  They went through a lot of candy and now sold out of the remaining bags at .50 cents.  It was a gorgeous night for trick-or-treating.  (Fortunate for the parents, it wasn’t blistering cold or raining out).
