Our Community
The city of Pleasant Hill, Iowa was incorporated May 12, 1956. At the time of the 2020 census, the population was 10,147 and we are 4th fastest growing city in the Des Moines Metro area.

Meal Packing at Rising Sun Church
MEAL PACK EVENTS | October 4 & 5 | Friday at 6:30PM. Saturday at 9:00AM.
You are invited to pack 40,000 meals with us in our two-day event so we can serve those in need together! Friday’s meal pack is geared toward youth, with an optional campfire and devotion to follow. Saturday’s meal pack is cross-generational in nature for families to serve together, with a snack afterward as well. You can also help financially (the cost to accomplish our goal is $8,800!) on our website by selecting ‘Meal Packing_Missions’ on the ‘giving’ page.
